COVID 19 - A message from us to you 

We are monitoring and managing the COVID-19 pandemic globally, across 24 countries, 49 metropolitan areas, and with one overall goal in mind, to keep our (future) employees, customers, and partners safe. We also know that we have a broader responsibility—to the industries, governments, and families who rely on our 286 data centers around the world to connect, to keep in touch, and to keep commerce and information flowing.

How is Interxion dealing with COVID-19?

With the rapid spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), our number one priority is the health and safety of our (future) employees, partners, and customers. Our facilities are 100 percent operational and we have long prepared for the possibility of a pandemic within our overall business continuity plan to ensure we can maintain the service level, while ensuring the health and safety of all that interact with our facilities. We regularly engage our critical suppliers to confirm their pandemic response plans and have reviewed their capacity to provide service continuity. Further we are closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 and are following the recommendations of global and local public health authorities in all regions in which we operate. We will continue to provide updates as the situation develops. 

At this time, there are no direct impacts to data centre operations or delivery of capacity.

What measures has Interxion implemented to deal with the current Coronavirus threat?

To prevent the spreading of the COVID-19 we have several protocols implemented across our footprint. For the detailed protocols please visit our Customer Statement page on our Corporate Site.

Will any job opening be changed, cancelled, or postponed?

Before any of our vacancies are advertised, they have gone through an approval process meaning the role can be hired. However, in these unprecedented times our hiring plans might be impacted. Rest assured all candidates who are in the application phase will be informed immediately if anything changes and we will update our career site to ensure only available roles are posted. 

Should I still apply for a role?

Absolutely! We are still hiring so if you see a role on our career site that matches your skills and background then please apply and if your profile is a match then one of our recruiters will reach out.

Are you conducting virtual interviews? 

We are making most of all the technology available and conducting virtual interviews where we can over e.g. Microsoft teams, Skype, Zoom, BlueJeans. The recruiter will arrange this with you and provide all the details you will need. For some roles, face to face meetings may be necessary so depending on local government COVID-19 regulations these can be arranged. 

If I got invited for an onsite interview, what should I consider?

Depending on the location and local government COVID- 19 regulations, some interviews across EMEA could take place face to face. To ensure the safety of you and all our employees when visiting our locations, we kindly ask you to:

Check you do not have any of the following symptoms:

    • Coughing, sneezing, fever
    • Shortness of breath, difficulty breathing
    • New loss of taste or smell

In addition ensure you have not had close contact (within 6 feet/2 meters) with anyone who is either confirmed or suspected of having COVID-19, in the last 15 days, including anyone who is experiencing or displaying any of the known symptoms of COVID-19 or have not tested positive or have been tested and are awaiting the results for COVID-19 in the last 15 days.

What can I expect if I visit the office for an onsite interview?

On entering the building, you may be verbally screened by our security teams in the lobby. If the verbal survey results in an affirmative response, you will be asked to voluntarily leave the office and you will be contacted by our Recruiter to arrange another time. 

Can I postpone my interview?

If you need to postpone your interview, please reach out to the recruiter who arranged the interview with you. They will coordinate an alternative time that works best for you. 

What should I do if after visiting for my interview I test positive for COVID-19?

If within 15 days after visiting our offices or facilities, you are displaying any of the COVID-19 symptoms or are tested positive we kindly ask you to notify the recruiter so we can take the necessary measures and ensure the safety of the work environment.

What is the companies work from home guidance during this time?

Non critical operational employees across EMEA have been directed to work from home. This guidance is been continually reviewed in line with government recommendations and these employees remain fully connected to the network to maintain service continuity.
