There are three people in my department and we work for the company globally. Plans that we make at the headquarters need to be designed in a way they can be implemented in all countries. We have to think of the bigger picture and aim to be future proof.

I like that we have the right balance between working hard and having fun. Everyone in the company brings a lot of energy to work. I personally like that I’m continuously challenged in my work,and get to see the development of the company over the years.

Interxion is becoming a more mature company and you can contribute to this when you think things could be done better. I am currently defining the next phase of our HR technology by looking at which functions need to be available and how this can be implemented.

The constant development makes it interesting for me, as I am a development-oriented person. As an employee, you can think about the company’s next steps and you can see and experience the growth. This is what drives me to get out of bed in the morning and go to work. There is genuinely never a dull moment.

Marc started as a maternity cover for the Business Partner combined with a Project Manager role for the implementation of the HR system, took on the role of Director Training and Development and is now Director HR Operations, Technology and Shared Services.

What I enjoy the most in my department is the open atmosphere, where no question is a stupid question. Everybody is willing to help each other, from solving an issue to brainstorming about a topic, even in busy times and regardless of seniority.

This is also something I see throughout the whole of Interxion. We are all hard-working
individuals but we’re always willing to help each other move forward.

Every day I start by checking the HR system email inbox to see what issues and questions my fellow HR colleagues have. My day usually continues with meetings, ad hoc requests to deliver support and projects related to rewards or training and development.

The variety of tasks, the transparent culture and everyone’s willingness to work together makes me eager to learn and commit to improve myself more every day. I regularly sit down with my manager to discuss what is going well and what I need support with. We look together at any challenges I am having to see what can be done and we talk about training or just little tips and tricks to help me.

I started at Interxion as Senior HR Advisor and after 2 years was promoted to HR Manager.

I accompany our employees from day one – and take them with me on their way to becoming part of our dynamic team. I am responsible for the onboarding of new colleagues, but I am also always available as a point of contact for our employees e.g. for questions concerning the employment relationship and performance management.

As part of my work, I am in close contact with our managers, always with the aim of retaining the best talents to our company. In addition, I am also responsible for personnel controlling and
exchange information with our works council. We work in very different departments here – but this does not change the fact that we all support each other as a team: Team spirit for us means mutual trust and that we can always count on each other.

My job means passion – for my work and the industry. This passion grows above all through working together with my colleagues and the daily challenges we face together. Interxion rewards this commitment, too. I was named Employee of the Year in 2019 – recognition and appreciation that I was very pleased to receive.
