Reporting to the Austria MD, you’ll manage the teams operating, maintaining and expanding all our Austrian data centres, including service design, service transition, service operations, security service, service delivery and ICT. You will define operational strategies for the technical improvement of our existing data centres and oversee new builds, you’ll ensure the creation of preventative maintenance and energy efficiency plans, making sure everything is documented, while leading day-to-day activities to achieve a ‘zero outage’ operation, including incident management. You’ll need to manage the operations budget effectively by optimising and improving services, while maintaining internal and external resourcing levels to meet customer SLAs. You’ll also work closely with international teams, acting as Interxion’s local operations expert in customer negotiations to support sales.
What you’ll need
- Experience as a Manager Operations or CTO in data centres or other complex facilities
- An international management background, dealing with people at different levels
- Strong people management and team leadership skills
- Proven experience of overseeing budgets, achieving goals and managing complex projects
- Strong entrepreneurial & business skills
- Excellent scheduling, planning, prioritizing and delegating skills
- Ability to see the bigger picture
- Graduate in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering
- Excellent communicator in English (C1) and a native German speaker
