Product Manager, Interconnection Services

Your role

Supporting the Director of Product Management, you’ll lead the development and lifecycle management of our core interconnection products and services. This means making sure all documents and processes for products such as data centre Cross Connects, Campus Cross Connects, and Metro Connects deliver the expected customer experience. So, you’ll recommend the direction and roadmap for products based on your assessment of current and future market needs, tracking capacity and performance and monitoring costs. This will involve managing international cross-functional project teams, and running training on products, markets and positioning. You’ll also keep up-to-date with market developments and look out for new product development opportunities.

 

What you’ll need

  • Extensive product management experience
  • A background in network providers and data centres
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional experience in using Excel spreadsheets
  • Financial modelling skills, with the ability to prepare business cases
  • An understanding of contemporary enterprise IT data processing architectures
  • Knowledge of data centre interconnection (i.e., Cross Connect) methodology.
  • Proven understanding of data security, risk and privacy topics
  • Experience working across multiple languages and cultures
  • Degree in Business or Information Technology
  • Availability for substantial international travel

I focus on all marketing communication aspects, like internal and external communication, events and labour market communication. But my biggest focus is online marketing, which includes SEA, SEO, social media, data intelligence, marketing automation and employer branding.

I’m very active in promoting our company and industry to young girls, women and students. I think this is important to continue our growth and digital transformation. 

It is the team, and I mean the entire team, that matters the most to people here. If we’re happy at work it brings out the best in us and our customers will also be happy. In our team we laugh a lot, are open and transparent, and we give each other space for personal growth.

Every year we have the opportunity to develop our skills by completing courses and training. Also we have conversations with our manager several times a year where we talk about the direction we want our careers to take and how we would like to develop.

I am responsible for generating leads and creating our strategic plan. I monitor our activity, check social networks, organise events and launch campaigns. The industry moves fast so we have to be very responsive.

We are given opportunities to improve projects and to digitise our marketing tools. Senior management make sure we have everything we need to perform our roles.

There are no monotonous tasks or missions, just very diversified projects that we can work with our colleagues and suppliers. The Marketing team, Business Development Managers, Sales and Service Delivery Managers are all professionals.

This is a super-growth sector and I find my job very interesting. When you take the initiative, management listens and it encourages you. The working environment is what makes me want to stay here.
